A National Mission in Exile
The Myanmar Center is a civic institution established by the Burmese diaspora to lead with purpose and resolve. We operate through structured departments focused on economic advancement, education, legal protection, and humanitarian coordination. Our work strengthens the Burmese community in exile, sustains national identity, and builds the civic foundation necessary for Burma’s democratic future.
Civic Infrastructure
🏛 Department of the Treasury
The Department of the Treasury oversees economic strategy and fiscal resilience across the Burmese diaspora. It directs initiatives in tax compliance, financial systems literacy, capital advisory, and economic planning. A principal mandate includes the establishment of a community-controlled financial institution designed to promote collective wealth, intergenerational stability, and long-term economic self-determination.
🏛 Department of Education
The Department of Education governs access to structured learning, intellectual development, and credentialed advancement for Burmese individuals in displacement. Its divisions coordinate English language programs, workforce training, academic support for K–12 learners, and advisory systems for higher education enrollment. The department functions as a conduit for educational equity, civic empowerment, and national capacity-building.
🏛 Department of Homeland Security
The Department of Homeland Security exercises responsibility over the legal status, protection, and immigration pathways of Burmese nationals in exile. It administers processes related to asylum applications, employment authorization, lawful permanent residency, and naturalization. Through legal coordination and procedural oversight, the department reinforces the rule of law, civic order, and personal security for individuals navigating complex immigration systems.
🏛 Department of Health and Human Services
The Department of Health and Human Services manages the delivery of core humanitarian functions required for community survival and dignity. It supervises programs in housing placement, resettlement logistics, legal identity acquisition, banking access, mobile connectivity, and employment integration. Operating as the primary interface between displaced populations and civil stability, the department reinforces cohesion, welfare, and structural belonging.
